Week 7 Review: Learning about the chimera
Going back through the announcements this week, I learned what a chimera is — I'd heard this word before, but never felt sure what it meant. In mythology, a chimera is "a fire-breathing hybrid of lion, goat, and snake body parts," according to the class announcement. I looked up the definition of it as well, and found this modern definition from Merriam-Webster: "a thing that is hoped or wished for but in fact is illusory or impossible to achieve."
There's a cafe in Tulsa called Chimera — I wonder which definition of chimera they're going for there.
